Mental Health

– post-partum depression & anxiety, BIPOC mental health

I am the founder of a mental health non-profit organization called The Lotus Movement – demystifying the stigma in the mental health South Asian community and uniting with BIPOC communities to bring awareness and education on this topic. As someone who has experienced bouts of depression and anxiety my entire life, but more so being diagnosed with PTSD and post-partum anxiety, I recognized that there was a need to establish intentional resources and support for those in our community.

The Importance of Community & Empowering Womxn

I know the power of community and why it is important to have a strong foundation of coming together to bring about change. I can share my experiences of fostering meaningful connections and the importance of establishing strong networks in our communities. I am an advocate for womxn’s rights and value the importance of elevating and enabling womxn to have a voice at the table. I can highlight my experiences as a womxn of colour and provide sound and influential content on why and how we must empower our peers, set a strong foundation of principles to guide our future generations, and focus on how to balance it all.
